Progress at Last: New Sports & Recreation Centre Underway!

It has been quite a journey to get here—between planning tweaks, archaeological digs, and our lovely British weather—but we have officially turned a corner. Work at the Fleckney Sports & Recreation Ground is now well underway and moving at a fantastic pace.

What’s happened so far?

• The Outdoor Gym: This has been moved to a temporary home across the field, right next to the half-court basketball area.
• Equipment Changes: The rope climbing frame has been removed to make space for the new layout.
• Groundworks: The team has already cleared the site and prepared the trenches for the upcoming car park.
• The Big Change: The main hall is officially gone! While the office, kitchen, and changing rooms are still standing for now, they likely won’t be there for much longer.

When will it be ready?

While we don't have a "ribbon-cutting" date set in stone just yet, the word on the ground is that we could be looking at an opening around Christmas 2026. Of course, with a project this big, it’s best to keep our fingers crossed and stay patient, but it’s wonderful to see the progress.
