Why FleckneyToday is Your Village’s True Community Hub (Beyond Social Media!)
In today’s digital world, it’s easy to get lost in the noise of big social media platforms. While they have their place, we believe Fleckney deserves something more tailored, more connected, and truly dedicated to our village.
That’s why we built FleckneyToday – our own dedicated, local community hub.

Here’s why we think it’s a game-changer for Fleckney, outshining generic social media for genuine community connection:
Focused on Fleckney, Exclusively.
Less Clutter: On big social media, your local news often gets buried under international headlines, distant friends’ holiday photos, and endless ads. On FleckneyToday, everything is about our village. Local news, events, discussions, and support are always front and centre, easy to find, and relevant to you.

No Distractions: We’re not trying to keep you endlessly scrolling with irrelevant content. Our focus is on connecting you with meaningful local conversations and information.

Designed for Real Community, By Volunteers.
Built with Care: FleckneyToday is a non-profit initiative, lovingly built and maintained by local volunteers who genuinely care about our village. This isn’t about making profit; it’s about making Fleckney better.

True Connection: Our “Spaces” and chat features are designed for genuine interaction, not just likes and fleeting comments. It’s easier to find people with shared local interests and build real relationships.

A Safer, More Controlled Environment.
Local Moderation: Our content is moderated by people who understand and live in Fleckney. We’re dedicated to maintaining a respectful, positive, and safe environment free from widespread misinformation, spam, or divisive global topics.

Your Privacy Matters: We’re built with your privacy in mind, adhering to UK GDPR standards. We’re not harvesting your data for targeted global advertising campaigns; our purpose is to serve our community, not advertisers.

Empowering Our Voices, Elevating Our Village.
Your Stories, Your Events: We provide direct ways for you to post news, share events, highlight local businesses, and start discussions that matter to Fleckney. You’re not battling an algorithm to be seen.

Supporting Local: This platform is a dedicated space for our local businesses, sports teams, and community groups to thrive and connect directly with residents, strengthening our local economy and social fabric.
Facebook and other platforms are great for many things, but for the heart and soul of Fleckney,
FleckneyToday is truly our home online.

Join us, get involved, and help us build an even stronger, more connected Fleckney!
