This community hub is a dedicated resource for our village, built to help residents and local businesses connect directly with the community they live in or serve. To ensure this remains a positive, trustworthy, and valuable space for everyone, we ask all users to adhere to these simple community guidelines.

Our key principles are to be friendly, respectful, and relevant. By using this platform, you agree to these guidelines.

Constructive Feedback: If you have an issue with a an individual or business, please communicate it respectfully. This is not a platform for public disputes or grievances. In such cases where this does not happen, and at the discretion of FleckneyToday, the comment thread may be removed and/or the participants may be barred from making any additional comments or posts in the future. (This action may be temporary or permanent.)

No Discrimination: Content that promotes discrimination, hate speech, or prejudice based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is strictly prohibited.

2. Keep Content Relevant and Accurate
Relevance to Listings: All content and promotions must be directly related to your listed business. Your profile is for showcasing your services, not for general advertisements or unrelated discussions.

Truthfulness is Key: You are responsible for ensuring all information in your listing—including contact details, opening hours, descriptions of products/services, and pricing—is accurate and up-to-date. Misleading information undermines the trust of the entire community.

No Unsolicited Promotion: Avoid posting repetitive content, spam, or unsolicited promotions on other people’s listings or unrelated areas of the site. This space is for genuine village residents, business owners, and organisations, not spamming.

3. Be Inclusive and Community-Minded
Focus on Local Connection: This platform thrives on the support of our local community. For business and organisations, use your space to share how you serve Fleckney, highlighting your local presence and contributions.

Respect Privacy: Do not share any personal or confidential information of other individuals or businesses without their express consent. This includes phone numbers, email addresses, or private messages. Although only registered users may post, unless a Space is ‘Private’ or ‘Secret’, it is open to the internet and can be viewed by everyone!

4. Your Responsibility & Our Commitment
User Responsibility: All users are solely responsible for the content they list and the transactions they conduct. FleckneyToday is a digital platform for the community, and only provides a space for local listings to be displayed and does not act as a broker or agent for any business, service or member.

Reporting Violations: If you believe a listing or user violates these guidelines, please use our designated report function or contact us directly. We rely on the community to help us keep this a safe and positive space for everyone.

Enforcement
Violating these guidelines may result in the removal of content, a warning, or the temporary or permanent suspension of your business listing, at the discretion of the FleckneyToday administration team. Our aim is to foster a safe and trustworthy environment for everyone, and we will enforce these rules fairly and consistently.
